I have been a crafter for many years and as a pastime and have tried various crafts; oil painting, dry flower/wreath arrangements, one stroke painting, furniture refinishing, watercolours and finally POTTERY.

I took an evening course in 2006 and have not stopped. Once a week I attended classes with a wonderful functional potter, and every week she presented us with a new task to challenge her students. I have not taken formal education in ceramics but learned from a perfectionist about clay, glazes and safety. Classes lead to purchasing a wheel, then you need a kiln and of course how can you not have a dedicated work space (custom shed) and now a converted retail space in the summer as not heated.
